I am a CMC accredited Civil & Commercial Mediator. Mediation can be an effective means of dispute resolution, saving the parties money, resources and stress through an early settlement, that, where relevant, allows their relationship to continue after settlement. The settlement is one that they are more likely to be able to live with – as they have reached it by mutual agreement. For their representatives it offers the chance of a better ongoing relationship with their clients than a loss at trial. The vast majority of mediations result in a settlement on the day or very soon afterwards.
