This area of compliance for a business is becoming more and more important. Where you have a DPO (Data Protection Officer) regular training is compulsory. Where you don't it is not but highly advisable - so you and your staff know of the risks and responsibilities you carry, so you reduce the likelihood of data breach and so that when and if it happens you stand a better chance when persuading your insurers to cover you and/or the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) not to fine you or to levy a smaller fine. In the end the best thing is to do what you can to avoid this happening, as the reputational damage can be far worse than the fine for your business.
As many of you will know, we offer an External DPO Service where you may appoint our DPO as your DPO for as many hours a month as you need him. The DPO team also provide training - normally remotely but this can also be done on site. They can provide training to organisations where they are NOT appointed as the DPO.
Charges:
These will vary on what you want - we will bespoke to your need - but as a guide we would expect to charge £400 - £500 + any travel costs + VAT

We can agree a monthly retainer (£200/hr + VAT) for as many hours as you need a month.
Normally, for an organisation new to our DPO team, they would like to have a meeting (normally remote) with the appropriate people to learn about the business and it's use of data so that they may adapt their training to suit. This meeting would normally be about an hour. The training would normally be about an hour in length. They would normally build in a shorter review meeting for a little while after the training.
